The Disney Imagination Garden is designed as an enchanted valley, inspired by Disney’s iconic stories, and features vibrant, open-air landscapes set against a three-deck-tall storybook castle art piece—a first for Disney Cruise Line. This central hub will also include a state-of-the-art theatrical stage, two quick-service eateries, a bar, and garden-view staterooms, offering guests a blend of dining, entertainment, and retail experiences in a single area.

SAMHI Hotels Limited, a leading player in branded hotel ownership and asset management in India, has released its unaudited financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2024.
According to Ashish Jakhanwala, Chairman and MD of SAMHI Hotels Ltd said, "We achieved total revenue of Rs 2,568 million and consolidated EBITDA of Rs 934 million. Our RevPAR increased by 13.0 percent year-on-year, indicating robust growth in our core markets and demand drivers. The integration of ACIC is progressing well, resulting in a ~520 basis points margin improvement in Q1FY25 compared to H1FY24. We have also initiated the rebranding of two ACIC hotels, which is expected to enhance their contribution to SAMHI."
Jakhanwala highlighted the company's solid liquidity and strong free cash flows from operations for FY25, which are expected to support both internal and external growth initiatives. He added, "With ongoing growth in our existing portfolio, the launch of new hotels, renovations, and rebranding of ACIC assets, coupled with a strong pipeline in key markets, our growth outlook remains positive for the upcoming quarters."

Sterling Holiday Resorts, a key player in India’s leisure hospitality sector, has announced its financial results for Q1 FY25. The company achieved its highest-ever Q1 revenue of Rs 126 crore, maintaining an EBITDA margin of 34 percent, consistent with industry standards. Sterling has reported profitability for 16 consecutive quarters.
During the quarter, Sterling added two new resorts in Dehradun and Udaipur, bringing its total portfolio to over 50 resorts. The company has added nine new resorts since Q1 FY24, reflecting its ongoing expansion strategy.
Despite challenges such as a nationwide heat wave, travel delays due to elections, and fewer wedding dates, revenue grew by 9 percent compared to the same quarter last year. EBITDA was slightly lower than the previous year, attributed to the ramp-up phase of five recently opened resorts in Rajasthan, including three in Udaipur.
Vikram Lalvani, CEO and MD said, “Despite numerous headwinds in the first quarter, Sterling delivered its highest-ever Q1 revenues and a healthy EBITDA margin while also ramping up capacity with new resorts. With long-term demand trends continuing to be strong, Sterling is poised for sustained growth through asset-right, balanced portfolio growth across regions. Based on our expansion plans of 20 additional resorts and 1,000 keys in the next 12 to 18 months, in phases, we are also investing in building key talent to cater to this growth.”

Sidney played a key role in the hotel's adoption of Winnow, a food waste management solutions company that uses AI tools to help chefs run more sustainable kitchens by reducing food waste.
Growing up in Mumbai, Sidney developed an early interest in food, leading him to the Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai. He further specialized in Food Service Management and Hospitality Management from Cornell University and Food Safety from the American Hotel and Lodging Education Institute.
With nearly two decades of experience, Sidney has worked with leading Michelin-star venues in New York under celebrity chefs such as Michel Roux Sr., Floyd Cardoz, and Hemant Oberoi. His previous role was at The Conrad Hotel in Pune, where he served as Executive Chef and later as Culinary Director. He was recognized in the Power 25 Culinary, 2022 by Hoteliers Web.
Sidney began his culinary journey in 2002, training at ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton and The Oberoi, Mumbai, before joining the Taj Management Training Program. He worked at Taj hotels in Delhi and Chennai, and later at The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai. He spent time at The Taj Pierre New York and The Taj Boston, introducing Indian food to their menus.
Returning to The Taj Mahal Palace and Towers in Mumbai, Sidney served as Sous Chef at Masala Kraft and later at Golden Dragon. He then moved to The Ritz Carlton in Bangalore as Chef de Cuisine and later as Executive Sous Chef. His career path led him to the JW Marriott Hotel in Pune and Mumbai, before joining The Conrad Hotel in Pune.

SAMHI has signed a management agreement with Marriott to rebrand its 217-room hotel in Pune as a Courtyard by Marriott. The rebranding will follow a renovation scheduled for completion by the end of FY2026. This renovation aims to reposition the hotel in Pune’s competitive market, which has shown strong performance in recent years. This will be SAMHI’s second Courtyard by Marriott, joining the successful Courtyard by Marriott at Outer Ring Road, Bengaluru.
Additionally, SAMHI has entered into another agreement with Marriott for its 114-room hotel in Jaipur, which will be rebranded as a Tribute Portfolio hotel. This rebranding will also occur post-renovation by the end of FY2026. Jaipur, a major tourist and business hub in India, attracts both domestic and international visitors.
