This is one of the first Burma Burma restaurants which is a design-forward space. Immediately noticeable are the unique aspects of its origin country woven into its interior design. Like the large wire-work pagoda installations placed throughout the restaurant which also act as a light source. The standout feature in the restaurant are the colourful booth-backs created by the basket weaves unique to Burma that act as seating backdrops. While creating a sense of privacy, these booths also add a burst of colour to the largely earthy-neutral colour theme of the restaurant. With Burma Burma’s newest restaurant in Hyderabad, Minnie Bhatt, Design Director, Minnie Bhatt Designs, infuses the interiors with authentic design elements that offer an immersive experience to diners. Though she has kept to the same aesthetic language that’s seen across the brand’s restaurants across the country, the Hyderabad outpost stands apart from the rest. A large printed canvas wall panel spread over 30 ft, depicting the skyline of Bagan, Burma’s ancient city, is an eye-catching backdrop that anchors the space. Smaller design surprises are scattered through the restaurant inviting customers on a design treasure hunt.

EHV International has brought India's most awarded restaurant Indian Accent to Mumbai.
Widely regarded as the world’s premier modern Indian restaurant, Indian Accent is faithful to Indian flavours but uses them to create dishes that are imaginative and precedent-shattering.
“For many years we have been offered locations in Mumbai for Indian Accent. Our search has ended at the spectacular Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Indian Accent has a loyal clientele of discerning guests from Mumbai. So we are particularly thrilled to be able to bring the Indian Accent experience to this vibrant city and look forward to it embracing us as warmly as New Delhi and New York have,” shared Restaurateur Rohit Khattar, Chairman EHV.
The kitchen at Indian Accent Mumbai will be helmed by Head Chef Rijul Gulati who has worked for 8 years at Indian Accent, New Delhi under the guidance of Culinary Director Chef Manish Mehrotra.
“We are most excited about bringing Indian Accent to Mumbai. In addition to Indian Accent’s signature dishes, Chef Rijul and I have taken care to craft a menu that features more seafood and many more vegetarian options, recognizing the dining habits and seasonal produce of this great metropolis,” added Mehrotra.
Guests would be able to enjoy all time Indian Accent favourites like ‘meetha aachar pork ribs, green apple’, ‘ghee roast soya boti, roomali roti pancake’ and ‘daulat ki chaat, rose petal chikki, roast almond’ as well as unique new dishes for the Mumbai menu like ‘gunpowder prawns, red rice, smoked chilli & raw mango curry’, ‘guchhi matar, asparagus, kashmiri morel pulao’ and ‘burrata chaat, lotus root papdi, mustard tomato jam’. In addition to the vegetarian and non-vegetarian tasting menus, the restaurant would also offer Vegan, Gluten free and Jain menus.
Varun Sharma, who leads the award-winning bars at EHV’s other restaurants, Comorin & Hosa, heads the bar programme and has introduced new signature cocktails and shall take us down memory lane with Jazz Age Cocktails. Kevin Rodrigues, Head of Wines, has curated an expansive wine list featuring wines from across the globe. The chef tasting menus offer wine pairing as well as reserve wine pairing options.
The design of the 75-seat restaurant is a tribute to Mumbai’s Art Deco movement and also features two Private Dining Rooms – one with a capacity of 18 and the other that seats 10, and has an attached interactive show kitchen.
Art Deco was a movement that developed into a major style in architecture, design and fashion in western Europe and the United States during the 1930s before coming to Bombay, which has over 200 art deco structures, second only to Miami. This period between the 1920s to 1930s is also referred to as ‘the jazz age’, when swinging rhythms became the dominant sound of the new generation.
Inspired by the city’s art deco heritage, Indian Accent pays a tribute to the design, music, and cocktails of that era.
The interior design of the restaurant is by the prolific London based Russell Sage Studio who worked closely with EHV's Design Director Rohini Kapur and Director Development Vikas Bhasin, who handled the project build from design to opening stage. Incubis Consultants were the local architects.
“Rashmi and Rohit Khattar were always keen to pay homage to Mumbai’s Art Deco movement and Russel Sage Studios have captured that essence in a contemporary fashion in their design. While thinking of the artwork to complement the design, we chose leading fine art photographer Rohit Chawla, who photographed some of the images of UNESCO Indian heritage sites and curated art deco images from Mumbai to add a romantic, timeless quotient to the space,” added Kapoor.
The food, drink, design and service style have been tailor-made for Mumbai’s more easy-going vibe by the leading restaurant brand in the country, at the most iconic address in Mumbai.
Vietnamese restaurant Vietnom has opened the doors of their second outlet at Worldmark Gurgaon, the upcoming hub of the city.
VietNom is set to bring unique delicacies and the true taste of Vietnam to the city with its exceptional culinary offerings.
“We are excited to bring authentic Vietnamese cuisine to the city. We always wanted VietNom to be an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, one that is truly a shadow of Vietnam away from Vietnam. Our team of experts have worked hard to create a welcoming space that showcases the beauty of Vietnamese culture,” shared Sahil Sambhi, Founder of VietNom.
After Gurugram, the restaurant is planning to open its door in Delhi, Goa and Mumbai.
VietNom offers a refreshing take on Vietnamese cuisine, the menu attempts to offer something fresh, something that is vibrant, eclectic and memorable. The new outlet also features a new menu and the must try there are the Vietnamese White Rose Dim Sums, Spicy Galangal Chicken Skewers, Char Grilled Pork Ribs, Bun Cha, Shrimp Mousse on Sugarcane amongst other traditional Vietnamese dishes.
The chefs at the restaurant use only the freshest ingredients which are directly sourced from Vietnam and carefully selected to ensure that each dish is bursting with flavour and authenticity.
Along with authentic food the cocktail menu is also well thought of and is segregated in two themes, GOAT- where the cocktails are dedicated to the greatest artists of all time and Vietnamese Signature- where each cocktail is inspired by indigenous ingredients of Vietnam.
The restaurant’s interior is truly unique and showcases the beauty of Vietnamese culture. The green and brown walls, along with the glass work creates a soothing environment that is both welcoming and unique. The subtle Vietnamese vibes are evident in each corner of the space, with raw, rustic and natural details elevating the entire area. One of the most exciting features of the restaurant is the waterbody table made of stone, which has a mechanism of rotating water that adds to the visual appeal.
The new outlet has extensive space to host 92 diners. In addition to the inside area which can host 62 covers, the restaurant also features an alfresco space for 30 covers and it is perfect for those who want to enjoy their meals in fresh air while savouring the beautiful view.
Mumbai has welcomed a new deli serving flavourful Asian-inspired food. Nestled in a quiet by-lane in Bandra, Jade & Ginger is created by the makers of The Tanjore Tiffin Room, Bombay Taco Company, and more.
This deli has a cosy outdoor seating area filled with plants to create a calm, vibrant, and soothing atmosphere. The bold pink and green colours evoke the freshness and richness of Asia. Jade is a cool and soothing stone. Ginger is filled with multiple benefits and used in sweet and savoury food, and in drinks throughout Asia.
“The success of Bombay Taco Company gave us the courage to let our rebel streak run wild. Asian food is becoming almost an obsession in Mumbai. However, we noticed that there was a major void in the middle market. At one end of the spectrum, we see fancy Japanese restaurants opening up across the city, and at the other end we immediately associate momos with spicy street food that leaves us wanting more., - launched a deli that would fill the gap; evoke interesting Asian flavours and rest easy on the pocket. The essence of the place is this balance, not just in terms of flavour,” shared Kishore DF, Founder of Jade & Ginger.
Chef Parth Purandare has curated the menu offering a variety of salads, sandwiches, sliders, baos, tacos and smoothies. Salads include the Nippon Classic Salad, Asian Avocado Cobb, Katsu Chicken Salad, and Vietnamese Buff Salad to name a few.
Jade & Ginger also offers refreshing smoothies like Gold Coast, a tropical favourite made with pineapple, banana and coconut juice; Green Goblin a drink that looks like the Hulk, made with avocado, mint and honey; Refuel, as the name suggests is an energising smoothie made with berries, yogurt and banana; and Roots is a fun smoothie made with chia seeds, pomegranate, green apple and beetroot.
“We are excited to launch Jade & Ginger! It is comfort food for everyone; no matter your likes and dislikes or dietary restrictions, you will find something delicious on our menu. All our food is made in-house; we ensure that we get great ingredients and everything is fresh. We’ve made it a point to have salads, sandwiches, and smoothies that are delivery-friendly. We were keen to offer a choice of foods that bring together the best of flavour profiles and dishes; not always associated with Asian cuisines. We wanted this place to fit the profile of Bandra and be nimble enough to take to other exciting neighbourhoods in Bombay and beyond,” added Purandare.
One of India’s most well-respected chef, Manu Chandra introduced many firsts to India’s F&B culture. He is credited for opening the first gastropub, bringing the open faced bao and trendy Asian dining and its many interpretations to the forefront, the revival of India’s romance with Gin, and celebrating India’s biodiversity by championing Indian produce in progressive ways. Not only a trendsetter, but he has also been a champion of ‘homegrown’ in many ways. And, yet again he is back with his own bold, sprawling new restaurant on MG Road, Bengaluru.
Weaving together classic European flavours with contemporary flair, an impressive repertoire of wines and inventive cocktails, LUPA (the first restaurant from Savaa Ser Pvt Ltd.), is the brainchild of critically acclaimed, chef-restaurateur Manu Chandra and hospitality veteran Chetan Rampal.
Named after the mythological La Lupa, Italian for ‘the she-wolf’, who raised Romulus and Remus, the founders of the modern city of Rome, LUPA, unabashedly imbibes her untameable spirit. Rooted in the exploration of age-old artistry combined with modern ingenuity, LUPA is a tribute to the finest of European cuisine crafted with progressive thought combined with global and local inspiration.
The Space
A beautiful interplay of a welcoming outdoor area, coupled with a rousing high-ceiling indoor dining area, the restaurant and bar seats two hundred and twenty covers.
Meandering through, you find a two layered semi-private outdoor deck housing an interactive kitchen, pizzeria, and live grill reminiscent of a laid back, comfortable Tuscan country home. Descending from the outside deck through a narrow winding staircase is the country’s first and a one-of-its-kind below-ground Wine Cellar. The stone-clad cellar sits twelve feet below ground level, holding a curated list of nearly two thousand bottles of wine with an exclusive tasting zone, available only by prior appointment.
The inside dining area is a mix of subtle splendour, which is both comfortable and stylish. From the furnishings to the light fixtures to the dynamic seating that allows for entertaining and celebrating or just enjoying a quiet meal on a weekday evening, LUPA is perfect for any occasion. The indoor space is complete with two signature open pantries - a mini Gelato Lab and a Salumeria cum Small Plates Bar serving decadent and fresh offerings that have been carefully crafted using a myriad of techniques and craftsmanship to bring to customers a wholly fresh experience in taste as well as concept.
The raised bar, perched at one corner of the restaurant, opens to an outside bar deck providing ample opportunity for guests to experience an exciting beverage program and interact with talented mixologists. The pure brass counter-top, the stained veneer and the vintage mirror bar facade mixed with soft, art-deco lighting and warm-hued furnishings on comfortable, cushioned swivel bar stools, add an aura of distinct charm to the space.
The best vantage point of the restaurant is the private dining area on a mezzanine floor above the central dining room, flanked by two grand staircases. Seating twelve people on a large oval marble table atop beautifully handcrafted chequered stone flooring with gentle light washing the space and diners in softly textured hues, this truly makes a spectacular addition to the aura of LUPA.
The interiors are designed by Bangalore-based architecture firm WDA led by Jatin Hukkeri and the branding identity has been conceptualised by the creative studio Holy Duck.
The Food
While the menu is firmly rooted in a trans-European style it also celebrates sustainability, biodiversity, and a dynamic range of carefully honed culinary skills. The idea of dining at LUPA is an engaging affair, a culmination of multiple sensory experiences with epicurean innovations at its helm. Led by Culinary Director, Chef Prashanth Puttaswamy, who brings his expertise developed over twenty years, the cuisine at LUPA honours European flavours but with a keen eye on inventiveness and innovation.
LUPA also delights in serving locally grown and raised ingredients in its contemporary take on Mediterranean fare.
The Bar
But the experience at LUPA is not just limited to contemporary European food indulgences! If you want to experience meticulous, masterful cocktails in a stirring atmosphere, LUPA’s bar is the perfect destination for drinks aficionados. The cocktail program is just as exemplary as the food - celebrating craft and demonstrating expertise in navigating complex flavour profiles including their own indigenous ingredients, science and a touch of dramatic flair saved for the glasses. With an eye on consistency, speed and flavour, several modern techniques are applied in the drink making to extract the maxima jam flavour from ingredients, as well as doing justice to the spirits used. Pre-Batching, Sous Vide and Fat-Washed are the newer methods, but LUPA’s bar will also continue to drive classic methods like shrubs and infusions. A program of international bartender residencies, and pop-ups will continually keep its bar one of the best counters to be at. The program will also fold in Chef Chandra’s affiliations with leading spirits companies, as well as a few surprise additions he has been instrumental in bringing to life.
An esoteric ode to history, a glaring reimagination of the present, and a foreword to the future; juxtaposing itself in the adventurous and ever-learning dining landscape of India, Lupa is a confluence of all things unwitnessed yet unwittingly familiar.

Steaming its way into Chandigarh a couple of months after launching its operations in India, Canada’s largest coffee chain Tim Hortons® is all set to sizzle café lovers in the region with its distinctive coffee, prepared-to-order food, iconic beverages and baked delights.
The outlet is located at Nexus Elante Mall, marking the onset of the company’s ambitious plans to take the Punjab market by storm with its elaborate array of delectable offerings and customised menu selections to tempt the typical Punjabi palate.
The brand launch in Delhi NCR saw long lines of customers waiting to get the ‘Tim Hortons’ experience.
While the Punjabi community is known for its love for food and drinks the world over, this love affair now goes much beyond traditional favourites. The Punjabi sense of taste has evolved over the years, finding expression in the fondness for world cuisines and coffee in all its avatars. It is this fast-growing coffee culture in Punjab which has prompted Tim Hortons to focus on the state as its next big destination. Moreover, Tim Hortons is immensely popular among Punjabis in Canada, especially students, and the company is looking to replicate the same brand love in Punjab.
“Tim Hortons is not just a coffee chain, it is an experience, and we are excited to bring this experience to this region. Starting with Chandigarh, the hub of the region north of Delhi, we will soon be opening outlets in Punjab. We aim to launch 15 outlets in the state, including 5 by the end of this financial year, as part of our plan to open hundreds of restaurants in India in the next 10 years,” said Navin Gurnaney, CEO of the Tim Hortons franchise in India.
While its range of cheesy Melt sandwiches, Bagels, Doughnuts and bite-sized pieces of traditional doughnuts called Timbits are a must-try, you also cannot afford to miss out on its popular beverages like French Vanilla and Iced Capp, a blended frozen coffee beverage. But going a step ahead, Tim Hortons has given a typically Punjabi touch to its menu by including delicacies like Ravioli Pasta in Makhni sauce, Chole Kulcha on Flatbread and Chicken Tikka Croissant Sandwich. A unique thing about Tim Hortons is that the menu items are prepared-to-order where bread, fillings and toppings can be customised as per customers’ preference.
The first Tim Hortons outlet in the region at Nexus Elante Mall features plush and tranquil interiors, and an ambience inspired by the brand’s Canadian origins, which adds to its charm. These luxurious settings have a Punjabi touch with a ‘phulkari’ representing the state’s traditional handicraft prominently adorning the wall.
Tim Hortons had entered the Indian market in August as part of an exclusive agreement with a joint venture entity owned by Apparel Group and Gateway Partners.
AG Café International Management Ltd is the master franchisee of the Tim Hortons brand in India. Canada’s largest quick-service restaurant chain established in 1964, Tim Hortons has more than 5,300 restaurants across 13 countries, including the Middle East, China, UK, Mexico, Spain, Thailand and Philippines.

A dream project from owners of city’s favourite restaurants like Donna Deli, Blah, Kyma & London Taxi, the space is put together as a perfect place for the young creative professionals, outgoing residents and the large corporate culture that surrounds Powai.
From the house of Monarch Liberty Hospitality & its founders Sumit Govind Sharma, Pawan Shahri, Nikita Harisinghani & Dhaval Udeshi, Eve aims to offer a cuisine agnostic yet ingredient focussed menu paired with technique-forward cocktails.
“With the library, greenery, calm ambience and cuisines we’ve built an inclusive space for anyone who wishes to spend some quality time with friends or themselves, because as we all know a great book and a steaming cup of coffee always makes for the best company,” shared Sumit.
“Powai as a market is evolving and the people there have to travel all the way to Bandra to BKC to get access to premium-casual dining spaces. Eve, will be a gamechanger in this culinary landscape and offer an all day vibe for guests to come and hang here across various time slots and moods,” said Pawan.
About The Interiors:
This modern-day premium casual dining space welcomes its guest with a vintage doorway, a 30ft high library wall that houses over 4000 books with a spiral staircase in the centre that takes you to the first floor.
A 7000 sqft space with an island bar, wooden flooring, and cane-weaved seating, regal chandeliers, fabric lamps and pretty corners, the space is decorated elegantly with splashes of bright colour, and the airy space features the natural landscapes and diversity with a combination of wood, plants, ceramics and cane.
Eve’s beautiful interiors have been designed by the Mumbai-based firm, KNS Architects alongside founder Nikita Harisinghani. KNS Architects is known for their distinguished projects such as the Soho House Mumbai, Kardmum Junction Banaras in Milan Italy, Mahek in Hyatt Dubai and have also designed many celebrity homes.
“We believe that we are in the business of creating atmospheres that evoke a feeling of comfort and warmth. We want people to feel this space as an extension of their living room, and come here for hours together - to drink, eat and hang, all day,” added Nikita Harisinghani.
About The Food:
With a cuisine-agnostic approach, at the helm of all kitchen affairs is the talented chef Sanket More, with his previous stints at The Bombay Canteen & O-Pedro. Having entered the kitchen from a young age to satisfy his own cravings he’s come a long way to concocting the perfect dishes to satisfy the palates of the oncoming visitors. Like a true master and lover of his craft, he believes in constantly reinventing, observing the people around him, and taking up new and improved cooking techniques to always keep the creativity flowing in his dishes and deliver the best on the plate.
“In today’s age, a restaurant is playing many roles for a customer - its food, drinks, mindset, entertainment and the feel-good factor above everything else. We’re sure that Eve will put this forward in the best way possible to our audience,” Pointed Dhaval.
The visionaries behind Eve believe in providing a rich experience but in a sustainable manner. The produce & ingredient forward menu is a reflection of the same, from the beautifully crafted salads to the sous vide cooking methodology and a zero-waste policy to support the local communities, the innovative menu is designed to promote seafood diversity, sustainable fisheries, and healthy oceans, whilst sourcing only the highest quality ingredients to create vibrant and exciting culinary delights.
“Experimenting and balancing the flavours is a key for a great dish. Every country and region has a huge variety of predominant ingredients and a restaurant is a place where your staff is usually a mix of eclectic people covering a different part of the country and working at different places, so getting inspired while taking the briefings and brainstorming on a variety of ingredients and mixing things is a fun a way to keep your creative juices flowing,” added Chef Sanket.
About The Cocktails:
Coming to the drinks menu, the in-house mixologist Sachin Yadav, with his previous stint at Jolies & Silly Souls Cafe, has something magical up his sleeves that is transferred to every drink he makes, handcrafted with absolute precision and care to give the visitors a sweet taste of heaven in every sip. Some of his personal recommendations are - Spice Trade which is inspired by Indian spices and has gin infused with pink peppercorn, Kashmiri Kawa Tea Fresh made with green apple, clarified milk, and rose dust glitter. But if you want to go old-school and give the good ol’ signature cocktails a try then Eves Mule made with vodka, cucumber, basil, elderflower, and ginger ale will help you make some new (drunken) memories or the Essence of Life made with gin infused with lemongrass, in-house kaffir lime liqueur, and tonic is sure to work wonders!

After rewriting the cuisine codes with culinary icons like Yum Yum Cha, Noshi, FoodInc. Catering, Pot Pot and Wheaty, restaurateur Varun Tuli unveils Tbsp. Tablespoon.
It is a first-of-its-kind kitchen-themed bistro, that celebrates and redefines the eat-out-of-a-kitchen concept. Warm, vibrant, and welcoming - culinary hipness meets dollops of joy.
"The concept behind Tbsp.Tablespoon is inspired by my time spent in the States as typically, most families eat out of their kitchens as opposed to at formal dining tables," shared Tuli who has always had a keen interest in comfort Italian cuisine.
An all-day dining restaurant at The Commons, DLF Avenue, it is serving up some top tier comfort food. Mouthwatering pastas, hearty Neapolitan pizzas and a variety of succulent grills lay the foundation of their diverse menu.
Customers can also customize their food experience - from make-your-own pastas (MYOP) to half and half pizzas, delicious signature house specials of sauces (SCS), condiments, seasonings and flavored oils to add that extra zing.
They also have an inviting deli counter at the front and center of the outlet, that serves a selection of decadent desserts, daily bakes and salads to enjoy on the go.
Tbsp.Tablespoon seeks to be a multi-sensorial experience, serving up familiar gastronomical notes with an imaginative twist. It is interwoven with research, knowledge of ingredients, techniques and tireless experimentations during Varun Tuli’s down time in the kitchen.
For the food and ingredient packaging, steel has been the key component. A palette of Pantone hues for design have been extrapolated to evoke joy and a hint of nostalgia. Playful use of fonts and ingredients spelt out in an abbreviated form on pasta boxes and tomato cans conjure up strong visual cues, thus helping patrons engage with the food on a more personal level and appreciate its nuances.
Inspired by the shorthand one usually comes across in one's kitchen like tsp, tbsp, ml, most ingredients have been edited to three to four letters thus underscoring the concept of a quick kitchen where everything arrives at the table quickly.
“In a kitchen, a lot of fun is eating from the bowl while the food is being made, hence a lot of our desserts are like that., For instance the trifle dessert is set in a pyrex measuring jar to heighten a feeling of familiarity,” he added.
Ishaara has recently opened their second outpost which is now open at Phoenix Marketcity Kurla.
At Ishaara, the team employs amazing and full-of-life, almost bursting at the seams, People with Speech and Hearing Impairment as service associates. Guests communicate with them using simple signs on the menu or merely pointing at the dishes and placing their orders. Strategic managerial interventions designed into the sequence of service will create a seamless and intrinsically satisfying experience.
“We believe that like any previous era, food continues to evolve and adapt and it is our humble effort to contribute to the evolution of our cuisine within the boundaries of a list of guiding principles established by us to enhance rather than invent,” said the statement.
The desserts are cosmopolitan and cross-cultural, including chocolate and fruit-based desserts, some with an Indian accent, and some without added sugar. The food is designed to be shared in true Indian style, but can equally be had individually as the portioning of dishes is based on grammage of proteins equivalent to a two-course meal.
Ishaara houses a fully stocked bar offering stunning, cutting edge, refreshing and dramatic cocktails, mocktails, teas and tisanes. We have kept in mind that the drinks should stand their ground on their own, and at the same time complement the food. We often use palm jaggery as a sugar substitute and create our own fruit and flower cordials and essences.
It also has an alfresco section with plants and light pendants cabana, ideal to spend your weekend afternoons. The interiors are plush with polished wood partitioned sofa booths offering privacy within a busy and buzzing restaurant. All the light fittings have been custom created for the restaurant and the space is filled with natural plants to complete the visual of a restaurant set within a conservatory.
Urban bistro by day, gastro bar by night, Klap at Khan Market hopes to contribute a dramatic transformation in the local culinary scene, and ignite a new love for life.
The restaurant offers 2 spacious floors and a fabulous terrace in Khan Market - itself one of the city’s iconic cultural melting pots, that brings together industrialists, intellectuals, and artists alike.
Klap is the brainchild of 3 enterprising friends: Chef Gurmehar Sethi, Alekh Vardhan, and Navdeep Singh Sethi.
“Can I give you a meal in a single bite? This thought is the constant source of inspiration for me to discover food grammar that I can play with,” said Chef Gurmeher Sethi who seek to bring together unpredictable ingredients and serendipitous flavours, served up with panache in a World Cuisine Tapas Bar.
Chef Gurmeher Sethi orchestrates a multi talented team and enthralls with a refreshing signature style, across British, Italian, French, Indian, Mexican, Thai, Japanese, and Korean cuisines.
Armed with qualifications from Les Roches Switzerland and Le Cordon Bleu London, Chef Sethi acquired developmental work experience at the Oberoi, New Delhi, and Le Cordon Bleu, Bangkok. He went on to work in some of the finest world kitchens, namely, Nobu; Atlantis; The Palm, Dubai; Mayfair Hotel, London; Banyan Tree Resort, Phuket; and Leela Palace Kempinski, New Delhi and Udaipur. Klap is his second venture after Ziu, in Delhi NCR and the UAE.
At Klap, Chef Gurmeher Sethi’s food is light, and almost ‘palate cleansing’ in its freshness. At the same time, it’s filling, packing a punch in the layer-by-layer element of flavour surprises. ‘Two fingers, one bite,’ is the style.
A party for ‘one’, a party for ‘all’
The restaurant’s layout encourages a generous dose of sunlight, bringing to mind a ‘family home villa’ in Italy. Terrazzo (Italian for terrace) flooring seems to be inspired by that aesthetic, but it’s also a charming ode to the fact that terrazzo is an all too familiar flooring style in Indian homes. Textured hand-plastered walls, mixed-material furniture, and faux leather upholstery in pop colours add to the casual, homely vibe, but with an air of approachable luxury.

Founded by 22-year-old Palak Shah, along with her partner Mazhar Dalvi, Plush Cafe is located in the heart of Bandra and its city’s first floral-themed cafe.
The decor of the eatery boasts of flowers that have been specially imported from Thailand. Apart from the interiors, a lot of effort has been invested in every aspect of the cafe — from the unique cutlery to the special coffee selection.
While Palak hails from a creative background, the idea of this cafe germinated while she was studying in London. “We have relentlessly worked for about 14 hours a day for the last one year to put this place together. Plush means posh yet minimal in its approach and that’s what reflects in the vibe of our cafe. We spent over a year working on the intricacies of the cafe, from the selection of flowers and importing them from Thailand to purchasing the furniture, curating the menu, finalising the packaging design, staffing, purchasing the cutlery, finalising the interiors and even coffee bean selection,” said Palak, who’s an internationally published author.
This pretty cafe will have several unique food varieties to offer to its patrons, including vegetarian, non vegetarian, vegan as well as keto options. The menu comprises a host of healthy food options, including protein bowls, spinach-based wraps, whole wheat pizzas and pasta, carb-free carrot puttanesca pasta, salmon bagel and more.
For the ones with a sweet tooth, Plush Cafe offers unique varieties like the milkshakes with candy floss, rose and pistachio flavoured pull-me-up cakes, chunky panna cotta and more.
Plush Cafe serves from 9 am to 4 pm and has an unconventional breakfast spread on offer, with a range of eggs, salads, grilled bagels and bagel sandwiches to choose from.
Talking about his first food venture, Mazhar, who is a famous name in the real estate circle in Mumbai and hails from Bandra added, “We have spent several hours in the last one year to conceptualise our cafe. It’s a cosy place, where you can walk in and have a great time. The food options are really interesting and we hope everyone enjoys the place as much as we did while putting it together. My only direction to my partner was to recreate standards in the F&B business, which she has managed to do quite well with the different kinds of dishes that Plush serves, the plating and presentation and the interiors of the cafe.”

Handcrafted, authentic, fresh, and flavourful beers are the qualities that define the brand ideology.
With a view of providing unique styles of beer from across the world, Crafters expanded its footprints by starting its own taprooms.
In 2018, the brewery launched its first taproom “Crafters Taphouse” in Powai with a focus to provide nothing but the best and thrive on not just bringing beer to the table but delivering a wholesome experience.
During the Covid19 pandemic, Crafters was prompt at turning adversity into opportunity and adapting its offering to provide its signature brews in the form of growlers. The all new Growler Station retail set-up is a result of this turnaround.
Crafters aims to provide premium quality and excellent service as they set foot into this new territory.
Crafters thrives on three main markers of craft beer- fuller flavor, greater variety, and luring new people to be a part of the beer lover’s community!
Serving a rainbow of different grain brews, the growler station has something for everyone; each brew holds a unique identity and flavor to suit varied palates.
“The Craft beer industry was hit majorly during the pandemic and it became necessary to find an alternative to survive the current phase. I’m very thankful to the Maharashtra Government and the Excise department as they have understood the pain points for the industry and have approved the sale of the growlers. The launch of our growler station will be our first step towards starting our new journey in the industry,” shared Vipul Hirani, CEO and Managing Director, Crafters.
The craft brewing industry in Maharashtra has experienced tremendous growth in the last 3 years, however, it came to a standstill due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The brand also has chalked out a well-thought expansion plan and is looking to cement two more of these outlets in Mumbai in the near future.
Patrons can order the growlers via www.crafterscraftbeer.in or through WhatsApp and Call. The takeaway growler can be picked up from the outlet in Andheri.

We have always been a frontrunner when it comes to new innovations in the restaurant space," he added.
The partitions, the walkways between them and just the area needed to allow the swing of the doors of each pod eats up the floor space of the restaurant but it's worth it if it helps reassure people and keep them safe. This includes throughly sanitising each pod after every seating, and while the servers will be in full protective gear, the more cautious parties can ask them to leave the food and drinks on small serving tables placed outside the door so that no one needs enter their protective bubble.
The concept was designed and brought to life by Bent Chair, India's leading premium manufacturing home decor & furniture brand; with an emphasis on making sure that patrons can keep the party going while feeling the safety provided by the enclosed environment and reducing the risk of contamination to the lowest.
