De Rigo, Gap Enter into an Eyewear Licensing Agreement

Eyewear creator De Rigo has entered into a licensing agreement for the design, production, and distribution of Gap-branded prescription frames and sunglasses.

Brokered by IMG, Gap's agreement with De Rigo will create eyewear collections for men, women, and children.

Michele Aracri, Managing Director, De Rigo Vision, said, "We are excited and proud to announce our new partnership with Gap. With an en vogue product offering at an affordable price that appeals across the board to consumers of different ages, Gap fits perfectly into our portfolio and represents an important step for De Rigo in its development plan in the Americas."

The first Gap eyewear collection is scheduled to be launched in 2022 and distributed through De Rigo and in select Gap specialty stores.
