WildCraft's former cofounder Raju KH, Cafe Coffee Day International's former President Puttaraj Alige and Mangaluru-based entrepreneur Gaurav Hegde have come together to launch Adventure Worx, a brand built around adventure products and services.
The startup, based in Bengaluru, designs, manufactures and sells gears and apparels for adventure sports.
Alige said, "We are currently bootstrapped, and will go for funding when the time is ripe."
The startup, according to Raju, designs its gear keeping India's needs in mind.
Alige added, "We have set up a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru where we make products such as backpacks, and climbing & mountaineering gears. We have also lined up a range of active wears for adventure sports."
The firm gets some of its specialised products from China. On why he chose to switch from coffee, Alige said he noticed that the adventure activity in India is picking up big time.
He further added, "The industry requires lot of products and infrastructure to meet adventure needs."
The partnership aims to provide a seamless and convenient shopping experience, ensuring that students have access to essential school supplies as they prepare for the new academic year.
The partnership will involve Apparel Group collaborating with leading retailers through Shop-in-Shop (SIS) arrangements.
Wildcraft's constant endeavor is to curate every part of the Wildcraft experience around the customer.
With the presence in more than 550 cities in the country and more than 4,000 points of sales, it is currently looking to expand by setting up more retail shops.
