Papa Don't Preach Becomes First Indian Fashion Label to Showcase its Collection at the Metaverse Fashion Show

In collaboration with the WEF (Women Economic Forum), the WICCI (Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) India-Austria Bilateral Business Council will host India's first-ever Metaverse show on June 11-12 in IIC (India International Centre) Delhi.

The theme of the show will be Cohesive and Sustainable World in the Digital Era. House of Krifin, Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika, BBT (Big Boys Toyz), New Delhi's Hotel Leela Palace, Forest Essentials, and Jamia Millia Islamia University's MF Hussein Gallery are among the event's key sponsors.

The two-day event will include a series of seminars and panel discussions that suggest and present 'solutions' to the world's current concerns, rather than merely a general gathering and get-together. Concerns about the environment and carbon reduction might give governments a new income stream worth more than Euro 250-300 billion per year. Prominent Brands will host an event that includes a Humanoid launch, an award ceremony, a fashion show, a vehicle launch, and an art exhibition.

The event's Special Guest of Honor will be Kiran Nadar; Director – HCL, Mairu Gupta; MD – Sony Entertainment Venture, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani; Founder and MD Hiranandani Group, Swati Maliwal; Chairperson- Delhi Commission of Women, Dr. Sheila Reddy; Principal, Sri Venkateswara College, Dr. Najma Akbar Ali Heptulla; Member of the Rajya Sabha, Dr. Najma Akhtar; Vice-Chancellor of the Jamia Islamia, Sunil Sethi; Chairperson - Fashion Design Council of India, RajanAnandan; Managing Director of Sequoia Capital.

House of Krifin will be revealing its digital humanoid during the event, which will be the show's centerpiece. In the digital realm, often known as the Metaverse, this digital humanoid will be HoK's influencer. It will have its own identity and will accept tasks as a social media influencer.

Samridhi Shoor, Director and CEO of the House of Krifin said, “The Metaverse provides an opportunity for a new form of digital interaction which would further the current development in social media. We want women to be at the forefront of this new digital revolution.

Shubhika Sharma from Papa Don't Preach, a Bollywood celebrity designer and India's first Metaverse Fashion Designer will be displaying their garments and accessories on this Metaverse platform, making them the first-ever fashion apparel brand to do so.

Shubhika Sharma, CEO, and Founder of Papa Don’t Preach said, "We are very excited for Papa Don't Preach to be the first Indian fashion label to showcase their collection at the Metaverse fashion show organized by the Women’s Economic Forum. Having worked with House of Krifin for over 6 months, we are so happy to finally showcase the digital avatars of our garments, shoes, and accessories.”

We’re also creating a brand new universe. It’s going to be a Papa Don’t Preach world with about six of our pieces that will walk the ramp. These outfits, along with our accessories, will be available as NFTs post-show. This is our first step into and towards the metaverse, and the possibilities are endless. We’ll be showcasing our Indian couture to highlight the beauty and intricacies of Indian craftsmanship and tie it to technology and its ever-changing facets," she added

Ritika Jatin Ahuja, COO, Big Boy Toyz said, “We at Big Boy Toyz are proud to unify and strengthen our partnership with WICCI. We look forward to this informative panel discussion and we are elated to support the initiative. This is our first experience to be a part of such an event wherein the BBT cars will be a part of the metaverse show followed by the fashion show. We are excited to be a part of the same.
