Foot Locker Expands Presence in India with Metro Brands and Nykaa Fashion Partnership

US-based footwear and sportswear retail giant, Foot Locker Inc, has entered into a long-term licensing agreement with footwear retail chain Metro Brands Ltd (MBL) and online beauty and fashion e-commerce major Nykaa Fashion. In a strategic move, MBL gains exclusive rights to own and operate Foot Locker stores across India, selling authorized merchandise. Simultaneously, Nykaa Fashion will act as the exclusive e-commerce partner, managing Foot Locker's India website and retailing authorized merchandise on Foot Locker branded shops through Nykaa's existing e-commerce platforms.

Foot Locker, a global leader in sneaker culture, known for creating unparalleled experiences within the global sneaker community, is tapping into the robust Indian market. The sneaker segment in India is anticipated to reach a volume of 66 million pairs by 2028, driven by a surge in demand for unique designs blending traditional Indian elements with modern trends.
