ICC's attempt to limit damage

Almost every international sport has to deal with the menace of counterfeiting and Cricket World Cup remains to be no exception. International Cricket Council has been doing its best to limit the damage. ICC has conducted raids in Mumbai and seized fake jerseys (about 7000 of them) of teams like India, Australia, Pakistan and New Zealand among others worth over Rs 1.2 crore. ICC losses are estimated at over Rs 50 crore, having carried criminal raids across Dhaka, Colombo, Bangalore, Nagpur and Mumbai. There are 20,000 odd fakeicc T-shirts that have been further seized.
