McDonald's India Unveils Anime-Inspired 'WcDonald's' Experience

For years, anime fans have incorporated McDonald's-inspired "WcDonald's" restaurants into some of the genre's most memorable movies and shows. Now, in collaboration with renowned names in the anime industry, WcDonald's is transitioning from fiction to reality.

For a limited time, fans will also receive manga-inspired packaging featuring WcDonald’s Crew characters, designed by renowned Japanese manga artist/illustrator Acky Bright. McDonald’s India has transformed its restaurant at Linking Road in Bandra, Mumbai, drawing inspiration from the vibrant world of Anime.

This initiative aims to immerse diners in a realm where fantasy meets fandom. Conceptualized and executed by DDB Mudra Group, the restaurant's décor and atmosphere have undergone a complete makeover, capturing the essence of Anime aesthetics.

McDonald’s India supplements its innovative initiative with four captivating anime-themed brand films, enhancing fans' immersion in the enchanting world of WcDonald’s. Produced by renowned animation studio Studio Pierrot, the first official WcDonald’s anime will introduce episodic shorts exploring the flavorful WcDonald’s Sauce and Chicken WcNuggets. These films will be accessible on McDonald’s India’s official social media channels.
