Urban Ladder, an online furniture and home décor brand is expanding its reach by taking wardrobes and modular kitchen solution portfolios to more cities by the end of 2016.
The company will expand the reach of its wardrobe services to 15 cities by December from six cities, at present. Modular kitchens, which are available in Bengaluru and Mumbai, will be present in six cities by the year end.
The Bengaluru-based company that counts Ratan Tata among its investors entered the modular solutions segment last year with the launch of modular wardrobes and kitchens.
More than 75 per cent of the modular solutions market in India is un-organised, affecting the quality of service, price points and design options.
Urban Ladder Director Fit-Outs business Parag Shah said that the company is building its modular solutions on three parameters.
First: The Company is simplifying the buying process with home consultations, to gather customers' requirements and help them understand possible solutions.
Second: The Company is innovating in design with in-depth research of the Indian consumer's lifestyle and needs.
Third: The Company is using the power of technology to help consumers visualise their wardrobes and kitchens better.
The company had launched the Urban Storage app for wardrobes and will launch an application for kitchens soon. It is noticed that wardrobes and kitchens account for the highest purchases when people are building their homes, with kitchens as high as Rs 7 lakh.
Shah added that the market has huge potential and customers are looking for solutions that offer great designs and convenience.
