Bata India announced a significant licensing and manufacturing partnership with Authentic Brands Group (Authentic) on November 6, 2023, to expand the world-renowned lifestyle brand Nine West in the Indian market. This collaboration aims to augment Bata India's premium product offerings and cater to the needs of fashion-conscious consumers.
Nine West is a globally recognized brand celebrated for its trend-right fashion designs. With a presence in over 40 countries, it has gained international acclaim for its premium and fashion-forward styles that resonate with the diverse preferences of modern consumers. This strategic alliance aligns with Bata India's overarching strategy for premiumization, focusing on meeting the demands of a more fashion-savvy audience.
Under this licensing agreement, Bata India will hold the rights to manufacture, market, and distribute Nine West footwear and accessories throughout India. Bata's extensive retail network and diverse customer base play a pivotal role in advancing Nine West's global expansion strategy, marking a significant milestone in the brand's growth journey in India.
