In a pioneering collaboration, Crayola has partnered with Cupixel to offer an innovative artistic experience that seamlessly blends the physical and the digital realms.
The fusion of technology, artist-led instruction, and a supportive community defines the essence of the collaboration's new augmented reality (AR) art kits. These kits are designed to empower creators of all ages and abilities, fostering an environment where individuals can engage in art creation, acquire new skills, seek inspiration, and build confidence in their artistic capabilities.
The inaugural products in this collaboration are starter art kits, comprising Crayola art supplies, access to Cupixel's companion app, a device stand, and all necessary materials for project creation. Cupixel's Smart Trace technology plays a pivotal role by virtually projecting step-by-step guides onto a diverse array of art surfaces, ranging from traditional paper and canvas to unconventional mediums such as shoes, pumpkins, basketballs, and more.
Warren Schorr, Senior VP, Business Development, Global Licensing and Experiences, Crayola said, “Technology can be a great addition to an artist’s tool kit, and we’re thrilled to have a partner that truly aligns with Crayola’s mission to help parents raise creatively alive kids. This authentic combination of tech, community, and artist-led experiences opens up a world of possibilities for creators of every stripe.”
