Crunchyroll Collabs with Black White Orange to Expand Licensing Merchandise Programs in India

Crunchyroll has unveiled a strategic partnership with the brand licensing agency Black White Orange (BWO), appointing them to oversee and manage licensing merchandise programs within India. This collaboration will involve the development of new licensing initiatives in collaboration with fresh partners across various categories.

Anna Songco Adamian, Vice President of Global Consumer Products at Crunchyroll said, "Anime has profoundly captured the hearts of fans in India, and this exciting partnership with BWO will enable us to better cater to the local Indian anime community. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with new partners to celebrate anime and foster a deeper appreciation for this dynamic art form throughout the nation."

Black White Orange will work closely with over 35 anime titles available for streaming on Crunchyroll, which include renowned series such as "Zom 100: Bucket List of The Dead," "Robotech," "Vash the Stampede," "Trigun," and "My Dress-Up Darling," among others. Raphael Guimaraes, Associate Director at Crunchyroll, will spearhead consumer product deals for the Indian subcontinent.

Mitali Desai, Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer, Black White Orange Brands said, “India stands as one of the burgeoning consumers of anime content, and this trend is on the rise, attributable to platforms like Crunchyroll and major fan events. According to a study by Rakuten Digital Commerce, anime enthusiasts in India display higher engagement levels and are inclined to spend 40 percent more on licensed products than the national average. Hence, we’re very confident in the success of this partnership and are super excited about collaborating with Crunchyroll to further fuel the anime love.
