Philips extends licensing agreement with Videocon

Royal Philips has extended its brand license agreement with PE Electronics, a Videocon Group company, for the television business in India until December ’17, and with the option to extend it thereafter. PE Electronics will continue the development, marketing, sales and after-sales-service for Philips televisions in India during the above period. Andy Mintz, senior vice president and head of global brand licensing, Royal Philips, said, “PE Electronics has greatly contributed in establishing a wide base for Philips televisions in India.” Saurabh Dhoot, Director, PE Electronics, pointed out that their strategy to offer premium products via the Philips brand.
