Salman Khan veers into electric cycle segment with Being Human

Extending the brand 'Being Human' brand named after Being Human Foundation, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has forayed into electric bicycle segment. The e-cycles are available in two variants - BH12 and BH27, priced at Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 57,000, respectively. Both variants are available in four colours - white, yellow, red and black. The company is also hoping to add more variants in the line-up in the future. Being Human is a brand run by Bollywood actor Salman Khan that works in the philanthropic areas of education and healthcare. The brand has already marked presence in clothing and accessories segment, and a part of its revenue goes in supporting the said cause. Being Human e-cycles use electric propulsion to assist the cyclist. The rider can change mode from manual to electric by using a switch button. This is claimed to reduce physical exertion during cycling, especially while climbing steep inclines. Being Human claims that the e-cycles have been thoroughly tested in Indian conditions for around 1.5 years. The bikes have a company-claimed electric range of 30 km and a top speed of 25 km/h. Atul Gupta - former Suzuki Motor India Executive Vice President - has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Being Human e-cycles.
