A new “Rage Rider” scooter, a UNICEF campaign and a top-secret “Angry Birds” event are the latest from Rovio, celebrating 10 years and more than 4.5 billion downloads. The app that defined a generation of mobile gamers, “Angry Birds” has revealed new products and campaigns to mark 10 years and millions of active players. Titled “Bring the Anger,” the new anniversary campaign shows how to turn anger into a positive action with a new scooter powered by screaming. Engineering a world’s first in rage-powered transport, Rovio worked with Spin to create 100 units of the “Rage Riders” for influencers, streamers and YouTubers. Rovio is also working with UNICEF Finland to create a new in-game event encouraging as many players as possible to “pop pigs” throughout November to promote good around the world. The event will culminate in a $100,000 donation to UNICEF’s Education in Emergencies fund.
