Vans launches 'Space Age' with NASA

Continuing with its high profile collaborations, American skateboarding shoes brand Vans has teamed up with United States federal Agency NASA for the launch of a new ‘space age’ collection. The collaboration is the latest in a line for Vans; earlier it has partnered with Van Gogh Museum, as well as the Walt Disney Co. to mark the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse. Launching on November 2, the range will be focused around Vans silhouettes Old Skool, Sk8-Hi MTE and Slip-On and will showcase the NASA logo, over the wording ‘John F. Kennedy Space Center’, according to Fashion United. In addition, Vans has also incorporated space travel-related wording such as ‘shuttle’ and ‘mission’ embroidered onto tabs at the tongue of the trainer, as well as removable US flag patches at the back.
