Warner Bros. Consumer Products hires new president from Quicksilver

Warner Bros. has appointed Quicksilver’s Executive Vice President - Pam Lifford as its new president of consumer products. Lifford succeeds Brad Globe, who will step down from the role in February after more than a decade of overseeing WBCP. In her new role, Lifford will oversee all of Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ business functions, including licensing, worldwide marketing, business and legal affairs, finance and retail business development. She will work with WBCP’s portfolio of hit licenses, including DC Comics’ Batman and Superman, Harry Potter, The Hobbit trilogy, Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo. Lifford will commence her new role with the company from February 1st, 2106 and will report directly to Diane Nelson, president, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products and president & chief content officer, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Commenting on the appointment, Melson said, “Pam is a highly accomplished licensing and consumer products executive and will be a tremendous asset to our company as we build upon the foundation of success established by the team at WBCP.” “Her leadership, experience managing large consumer brands and proven track record building innovative, globally successful licensing and merchandising businesses will be invaluable as we look to maximise our powerful slate of content and our entire vault of intellectual properties,” he further added. “It is an honour to join a company with such a storied history and Warner Bros. continues to push creative boundaries by harnessing their impressive roster of properties to develop new content and brands with worldwide appeal,” said Lifford. Lifford has spent 12 years at Disney where she worked her way up to become executive vice president, overseeing global home, fashion and infant categories. In her professional stint of 25 years, she has also been a part of Road Runner Sports and Nike. She joins WBCP from Quicksilver where she served as executive vice president of global licensing.
