Awake NY brings its capsule collection with Reebok Classic

Awake NY, Angelo Baque’s streetwear brand, has launched its footwear and apparel capsule with Reebok Classic.

The new collection consists of two shoe reworks, the Workout Lo Plus and Instapump Fury.

Baque said, “To me, the Workout Lo Plus is still very much a New York shoe. A lot of people don’t see it as a New York shoe because the narrative has been lost over the years. When I think of Reebok and of the Workout silhouette, I think of Raekwon, I look at it, and I instantaneously go back to 1993.”

In the apparel section, the capsule includes two iterations of Reebok Classic’s hockey jersey, along with a tracksuit. The collection comprises colors like bright yellow, white, bright blue and black.

Awake NY x Reebok Classic collection as a whole pays homage to the ‘90s hip-hop and art movements of New York.

“We have another shoe coming. Stay tuned, all will be revealed,” Baque added.
