NBA star Kevin Durant has partnered with Nike to create a YouTube-inspired version of his signature KD 12 shoe. The shoe is draped in the classic YouTube red and features characteristics of the original streaming platform such as “Skip Ad” copy on the heel and a search bar printed on the insole. Durant says he created the YouTube-styled sneaker to show his support for the video-sharing network. While the newly minted Brooklyn Nets player won’t be suiting up this season, his new footwear will debut right in time for the first game of the NBA season on Oct. 26. Durant’s new sneaker will be joined by a new “SpongeBob SquarePants”-inspired shoe from his teammate Kyrie Irving. Irving’s latest collaboration arrives during the 20th anniversary of the Nickelodeon animated staple.
