Molson Coors Cobra launches beer

Molson Coors Cobra India has launched Royal Brew, a strong beer soon after introducing the British beer Carling into the Indian market.

The joint venture between US-based Molson Coors Brewing Company and the Cobra Indian Beer markets two strong beer brands, King Cobra and Iceberg 9000.

Commenting on the launch, Peter H Coors, Chairman, Molson Coors Company, said, “Our experience of the Indian market says that the consumer here prefers hard liquor over light. We have been facing competition from hard liquor such as whiskey. So we decided to launch a product in the strong beer segment.”

The strong beer would cater to the customers demand in Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Bengal and Delhi.

All strong beers of the brand are brewed near a plant in Patna.
