CCD gets ISO certification

DNV Business Assurance Food Safety System has bestowed the International Standards Organisation (ISO) 22000:2005 certification upon Café Coffee Day (CCD) for its Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) in cafes.

The certification covers the mandate of handling, preparing and serving F&B at the coffee major’s stores across all formats—the CCD cafes, the Coffee Day Lounge (CDL) cafes, the Coffee Day Square cafes and the Fresh Assembly Centres (FACs), wherein café food is assembled before it is sent to the cafes.

Mr. Venu Madhav, Director, CCD, said, “We at Café Coffee Day are delighted to be ISO 22000:2005-certified. This reaffirms the standards that we have set in our food and beverages. This also means that our consumers are being treated with products that conform to the highest international standards consistently and continuously. We look forward to scaling new heights in the business whilst maintaining the quality of our products."
