New Delhi: Internet search giant Google's Great Online Shopping Festival witnesses around 80 lakh visitors during the 3 day festival.
The site clocked a total of over 1.4 cr visits including the earlier promotion period. "Compared to last year, the user engagement is up by 7 times," Nitin Bawankule, Industry Director, eCommerce Google India told ET.
With seamless user experience and the sites successfully sustaining high trafic played crucial role in making it a great success.
People from 220 cities in India participated in the GOSF. The festival witnessed great response from smaller cities like Ranchi, Guntur, Hubli and Bareilly.
'The GOSF has exceeded the wildest of our expectations with the response that we have had to GOSF', Google India had said on the very first day of the festival.
Around 40% of all visitors were hovering over Rs 299 corner, where all the deals cost only Rs 299. According to Google some of its small partners reported growth of 5x and 7x in daily conversions.
Categories like electronics, men and women lifestyle, home & kitchen were a huge success.
Apart from all these shopping, the GOSF saw a considerable number of house booking along with cars & bikes being booked during the festival.
