Leading contract logistics, DHL Supply Chain, announced that Levi Strauss India has moved into its new, multi-client site at Bengaluru, being among the first customers to take advantage of this state-of-the-art modern facility. The new site, which went live in July 2014, is part of the €100 million that DHL Supply Chain had previously pledged to invest in India.
Spread across 136,000 sq. ft in Attibele, South Bengaluru, this facility will meet the growing customer demands of various sectors from this region by driving value and providing a competitive advantage to them.
According to Oscar de Bok, CEO - Asia Pacific, DHL Supply Chain, said: "The opening of our new multi-client site in Bengaluru is part of our ongoing investments in infrastructure development to keep pace with the rapid growth of the logistics market in India. “
Besides, India is a significant market for us and by setting up world class infrastructure in this country, we continue to meet the increasing warehousing and transportation needs of our customers enabling them to effectively expand their businesses," he added.
DHL's new multi-client site offers significant synergies to customers from various industries, especially in the area of transportation, where consolidation and flexible space provisions address the seasonal requirements of various customers.

Furthurmore, the new multi-client facility has been built as per international standards, with a clear height of 12 meters, 11 loading bays, modern energy saving devices and is equipped with security features to ensure customers are provided with substantial simplification of their end-to-end supply chain services thereby providing optimization of resources. This facility has an expansion option and will be increased by a further 110,000 sq. ft in 2015, to meet the needs of a strong customer pipeline.
